BILL'S RAILROAD EMPIRE |

When General Motors Electro-Motive Division introduced the E3 passenger Diesel locomotives in the late 1930s, the engines were referred to as "The Streamliners." And streamliners, they were! The E3s, E4s, and E6s caught on quickly.
The advent of World War II delayed any further inroads they would have upon the mighty steamers. After the war, the railroads were quick to order more, including the E7s, E8s, and E9s which followed.
I have forty-two N scale EMD E units (31 A and 11 B units). They were manufactured by Life Like, Atlas (Rivarossi and Roco), and Con Cor.
I'm not sure if the EMD Es or the Alco PAs are my favorites. I like both! The Alco PAs are shown on my Diesel Locomotives pages. I hope you enjoy these photos. Click on photos to see larger images.
New! These photos can now be viewed in a one-minute slideshow.
