TGV Train (Le Train ŕ Grande Vitesse)

TGV TRAIN

This high-speed electric train runs in France. The orange, gray, and white train runs between Paris and Lyon at an average speed of 122 mph. Since the original route began in 1981, other routes have been added, each with a unique paint scheme.

Amtrak's new Acela that is serving Amtrak's Northeast Corridor between Washington and Boston uses some of the TGV's technology.

My TGV has two power cars and four articulated passenger cars. A real beauty!

U.S. ARMY

The U.S. Army Cars are Dark Tan and Olive Drab. I painted and decorated the engines and the dark tan car. There are also several U.S. Army freight cars that I painted and decorated.

Photo below shows a model of the European sleeping cars used by the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II. The car is olive drab with a silver roof and it has the U.S. Army Transportation Corps insignia. The car was made by Roco.
